Will to Power
In the end what they called will power was not a power at all but just
the absence of a powerful tiredness and narcissism nicely sold the thought
that we no longer send our gaze out to catch the other to see ourselves
but instead catch the other to send ourselves in
and the contradiction in the explanation – a muscle getting stronger by being used up –
got lost in the rumour that it was a new idea; practice makes perfect! people change!
and how the perfectly obvious came to be doubted is a story the philosophers told
while the scientists searched for meaning in a thoughtless body
everybody scrambles for truth;
poets too.
